Different types of Yorkies.

Not many people know that there is 3 different kinds of yorkie puppies. There is a Teacup also known as a toy, a miniature , and a normal size. The above picture is a picture from Google images from jplistings.com, and it is a picture of a tea cup yorkie. If you think Skip was tiny, then you are going to be amazed at the size of the Teacup. As you can see in the picture the puppy is almost the same size as the pop can. The sad thing is, that puppy is full grown hence the name Teacup. A Teacup Yorkie weighs roughly about 50 grams, and can actually fit perfectly inside a teacup. Even though this is a Teacup, it still has a big attitude and can have a wild temper so don`t let their size fool you completly. Being the tiniest breed of yorkie, these little guys require a lot more attention then the others do, ( and they constantly want attention believe me) Another thing with this type of dog is that they can have a lot of medical problems and can cost $1000`s of dollars at the vets.

Yorkie Fact: A lot more love and attention is required for this type of Yorkie because of it being so small.

This little monkey was 5 months old when I first brought him home! He was given the name Skip, reason being is because his legs were so tiny that he skipped instead of running. As soon as I saw him, I knew he was going to be the new member of the family. He was as tiny as a teapot, and his attitude at first was negitative because it was a new home enviroment and he wasn't use to us yet. Sortly after he grew to love us back, it didn't take long for him to run the house. This little guy loved to cuddle with anybody! And became everybodys best friend. Being a Yorkie puppy Skip only weighed 1lb, and he was only about 8 inches long. (Tiny right?)
