Skip went on a big adventure on thursday, (last week.)
We took him to watch my nieces soccer game, and he started going crazy because he wanted to play with the kids. Through out the whole game, all he did was wine. He was trying so hard to get off his leash, he started walking around a bench leg to tangle the leash up, and he also tried to run away. After all this I decided to take him for a walk around the park, where my niece was playing soccer, which turned out to be a bad idea because, he saw a bird. Now you might think that he would just ignore the bird and carry on with his walk but what most people don't know about my dog, is that he LOVES birds. He runs around like crazy trying to catch them. So when he saw this bird he laid down on the grass getting ready to chase it, and then took off. I wasn't paying much attention because my phone kept going off, and I almost dropped the leash. It was a little embrassing because there was a lot of people just staring at me running around with this tiny little dog on a leash. This was also his first time at a park, so he was pretty excited. I think i might take him to my nieces next soccer game, just so that he gets use to being around other people, and other things outside that he is not use to yet. Im looking forward for our new adventure to take place.

Skips best friends.
With Skip being the only dog in the house, I think he gets a little lonely. On the other hand he has made good friends with my landlords cat John.
Cats and dogs don't usually get along, but sometimes it's entertaining to sit and watch these 2 play. They don't always get along, but they never hurt each other.
When skip is outside and the cat comes over, John (the cat) will lay down and roll around, Skip runs over to him and runs around him in a circle making him dizzy. That's when Skip goes and bites his tail, and that is when they both start playing tag. I have also caught them trying to play hide-and-seek. John will hide under the bathroom sink, and he taunts Skip and jumps out at him and cases him.

Another one of Skips best friend's is my dad. Skip follows him everywhere, and cries like a baby if he can't go where "Daddy" is going. Skip loves my dad so much it's insane! At night Skip and dad will sit and watch TV together, and they cuddle on the couch, once my dad moves to go and do something like get a coffee, Skip jumps up and runs into the kitchen to see what he is doing. Skip is attached to my dad. I've never seen such a stronger friendship.

Typical Yorkie.
Like all other yorkies, Skip can have a really bad temper. The only bad temperament that Skip shows us is when we leave him home alone, he rips everything apart, but the good thing is that it's only his toys.
Normally when we leave, we come home to his bed being whipped across the living room, his white pad that lays in his bed is all crunched up, and his blanket unfolded. On a really bad day, sometimes he messes inside because he is really mad, but it's okay because we have a pee pad laid down for him, which he goes on when he can't go outside. Another thing that he also does is push off the pillows on the couch. It is sometimes so hard to get mad at him from doing all of these things, because when you walk in the house he is jumping at your feet wagging his little tail, and gives you the cutest eyes, that says "I've made a big mess but don't be mad at me because I'm too cute."
Skip doesn't do a lot of damage with his temper, so we don't really get angry with him when we come home and everything is every where. This is because nothing is never riped. That's the best thing about him, he doesn't chew on anything unless his own toys. :)

Here is skip with my cousin, he was trying to get the ball from him, but got distracted by something else.
Here's skip waiting for my dad to kick the soccer ball so that he could chase after it.
Skip waiting to go inside for a drink of water from a long afternoon of playing soccer with my dad and my cousin.
Skip is glad that winter is over, because now he can get outside and play soccer!
Yes, my dog actually likes to play soccer, every time that my little cousin is outside playing soccer with my dad Skip always runs and chases after the ball. Its adorable, because he thinks that he owns the ball yet the ball is bigger then him. Skip loves to be outside! Sometimes when he wants to go outside and its dark out, he acts like he has to go to the bathroom, but once you take him out he runs off down the road and wants you to chase after him. He also loves going for walks, every time we go down the road for a walk he always stops to check and see if the other dogs are out. The funny thing is though, is when skip goes to see the other dogs they run away from him because he is so tiny.
I remember one day I took him outside to go to the bathroom and my neighbours dog started barking at him (keep in mind these are really big dogs), once Skip was finished doing what he was doing he took off to my neighbours house and started chasing the big dog around because he was barking at him. He likes to think he is the "king of the castle", even though he is small he doesn't take trouble from anything bigger than him.

This was a picture taken at Christmas time. This is Skip, at 7 months old, still very tiny. He is a pure breed miniature yorkie. Like other yorkies, he rocks the normal fur colours, which are a tan coat colour normally located on the head, paws, and stomach, the rest of the fur is like a "blue", they call this blue because it is a little brighter than black. Yorkies hair is normally very thin, glossy, and straight. Some people prefer to grow out their yorkies hair so that the hair touches the floor. Personally I don't really like that look on yorkies, I like to have them kinda scruffy, but not over the top like most people. With yorkies having such long and fair hair it has to be brushed on a reguler basis because it mats really fast and easily. Unfortunatly I have to fight with Skip to brush his hair, he runs everywhere expecting you to catch him. He will wait for a bit until you come seconds from catching him, then the little bugger just takes off running around the house.
Skip is a hypoallergenic dog, which is great because if people come over to visit they are not going to have an allergic reaction to him. The reason why Skip is hypoallergenic is because he's a yorkie, and yorkies don't shed like other dogs do, they only shed when brushed and when bathed. The good things about yorkies is that they don't collect as much dirt as a bigger or different breed of dog. If they are washed too often it will cause their skin to be irreitable for them, and it will take out the oils that make their hair so beautiful. A regular bath for a yorkie would be 3-4 times a year.

Poor little man is tired from a long day of opening presents and playing outside in the snow!

ANSWER TO QUESTION OF THE WEEK!
Last week i asked you if you knew what kind of yorkie Skip is. The 3 options were, Toy yorkie, Miniature yorkie, and the "Normal" yorkie. I also gave a hint to help figure out the answer, My hint was that when he is full grown, he is going to weigh 5lbs. The only yorkie that is going to weigh 5lbs fully grown is going to be the minitature yorkie!
